Welcome New General Manager, Ann Mull

Ann Mull as the new General Manager of People’s Food Co-op (PFC). 

To Our Valued Owners, 

The Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Ann Mull has been appointed as the new General Manager of People’s Food Co-op. Ann is no stranger to PFC — she is both a long-time member and employee who brings a deep love for cooperative values, the local food system, and our community. 

Ann’s connection to the Co-op began long before her professional career. Ann has fond memories of shopping at the La Crosse Adams Street location as a child. Diagnosed with a dairy allergy early in life, the Co-op was the only place in the La Crosse area where she could find dairy-free ice cream—making it a vital part of her childhood experience. She grew up in a family that maintained three large gardens, which forged a deep connection to food and an even deeper respect for farmers. That early foundation continues to shape her values today. Ann remains passionate about local food and believes strongly in supporting sustainable agriculture and community-based food systems. 

When she’s not working, you’ll find Ann outside—hiking, running, skiing, or paddleboarding with her husband and their two dogs.  

Ann has held progressive leadership roles within PFC, including serving as Marketing Director and, most recently, Interim CEO. She brings to the role a deep understanding of our organization and a commitment to strengthening our Co-op from the inside out. We are reverting the title from CEO to General Manager (GM), as GM better aligns with our co-op values and the position’s scope. 

We believe Ann’s leadership and values will be essential in this next chapter.
