Join us for a hands-on Onigiri Making Class with Kazuya on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 6:00–7:00pm!
In this interactive workshop, Kazuya will guide you step-by-step through the art of making onigiri—traditional Japanese rice balls that are both simple and deeply rooted in everyday Japanese culture. You’ll learn shaping techniques, tips for seasoning and filling, and the cultural history behind this beloved comfort food. After crafting your own onigiri, you’ll sit down to enjoy what you’ve made!
We’re excited to partner with Pearl Street Books, who will bring a curated selection of books highlighting Japan, Japanese art, and cultural traditions. Browse their collection before or after class to deepen your appreciation for the flavors and stories behind onigiri. All books will be available for purchase.
Come hungry, leave inspired—and with new skills to recreate onigiri at home!
