Greetings cooperators! Welcome to my blog. We’ve created this vehicle as a forum for me to talk with you about things happening in the news regarding, food, agriculture, co-ops, sustainability, the environment and essentially any “groovy pop-culture thing” that catches my eye relating to any of the above.
PFC’s newsletter, The Co-op Shopper, is a great way for us to share information about things happening in the store and in the food world, but it is limited in space and the time between publications means that news is often stale before we can bring it to press. And the fact is…I’m a news junkie. Here I hope to have the chance to alert you to stories in the news that you might have missed that I think will interest you or aid you in your quest to become a more informed consumer, and even better…give you the opportunity to weigh in with your views on a particular topic. The views I will express in this blog are my own, and not those of People’s Food Co-op, its board, staff or membership. (I’ll remind you of this often.)
I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on things that have piqued my interest. This is a moderated blog. We ask that you keep it clean and use this as a respectful forum to communicate with me and the others who read this blog. I invite you to check in regularly…I’ll be sharing links to interesting stories or videos. If you have suggestions don’t hesitate to pass them along!
