IT & POS Manager

People’s Food Co-op of Rochester and La Crosse is seeking an IT & POS Manager for its two-store grocery business.

Reporting to the CEO, this person has a commitment to improvement, thrives in a fast-changing environment and develops team members’ skills.  This role ensure smooth functioning of the SMS point of sale system, supports all technology systems and databases, and collaborates to integrate technology into daily operations.

This position can be officed in either Co-op location.

Grocery Lead Clerk - Full Time (Receiving)

Our lead clerks treat the excellency of customer service as their primary focus and will do this through product ordering, various production assignments, careful inventory control, and accurate record keeping. They will also be responsible for training new talent, adjusting scheduling, and prioritizing tasks. Lead clerks will need to communicate effectively, assist department managers in organizational duties, understand, adhere to, and demonstrate correct company policy and procedure, among the other duties required by a clerk. Minimum physical requirements include the ability to lift 50 lbs., standing during work hours, being able to use a knife or box cutter, and being able to operate a baler.

Wellness Clerk - Part Time

Our wellness clerks treat the excellency of customer service as their primary focus and will do this through various production assignments, careful inventory control, and accurate record keeping. Wellness clerks will need to communicate effectively, assist department managers in organizational duties, understand, adhere to, and demonstrate correct company policy and procedure, among the other duties required by a clerk. Minimum physical requirements include the ability to 50 lbs., standing during work hours, being able to use a knife or box cutter, and being able to operate a baler. 

Bakery Lead Clerk - Full Time

Our Bakery Production staff are skilled in food preparation and presentation methods, and knowledgeable with kitchen safety and food processing in accordance with state and local health regulations.  The ideal candidate is organized and thorough, can prioritize tasks with attention to detail and quality standards, and enjoys collaborating with others.  2 years professional baking experience preferred, with first line supervisory experience a plus.

Our Kitchen Production staff are skilled in food preparation and presentation methods, and knowledgeable with safety and safe food processing in accordance with state and local health regulations. The ideal candidate is organized and thorough, can prioritize kitchen tasks with attention to detail and quality standards, and enjoys collaborating with others. 2 years professional cooking experience preferred, with first line supervisory experience a plus. 

Deli Counter - Part Time

Provide prompt friendly courteous service to include offering samples, answering questions and making suggestions. Maintain knowledge of product, provide information to customers regarding use and preparation. Ensure that the deli case is clean, stocked, rotated, garnished, proper signage is used and appealing to customers during entirety of shift. Perform opening and closing duties to include required production work and cleaning / restocking requirements. Must be organized, detail oriented, and able to handle multiple demands.
