Grocery Operations Manager – Full Time

People’s Food Co-op, mission-driven to be the best fresh foods market in the country, seeks a Grocery Operations Manager.
This individual will be responsible for developing and managing daily operations of personnel, assuring the success of sales and promotions in collaboration with the Grocery Category Manager, and coordinating and organizing inventory in conjunction with the Lead Receiver.

This individual has proven experience with operations management.  Possessing demonstratable knowledge of operational management concepts, practices and procedures, the ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented and has a passion for and extensive knowledge of natural food companies, products and delivers consistent and excellent customer service.

Hackberry's Bistro Manager – Full Time

Hackberry’s Bistro, located above and part of the People’s Food Co-op, seeks a qualified and creative Executive Chef/Bistro Manager.

This individual will coordinate and lead all front and back of house operations to meet daily kitchen and special events production needs.

The ideal candidate has purpose that aligns with PFC’s mission and is passionate about people and community. Versed in seasonal, organic and local fare, this individual brings a minimum two years managerial and restaurant experience rooted deep within the local and farm-to-table tradition. Hackberry’s Bistro Kitchen Production

Our Kitchen Production staff are skilled in line cook food preparation, and knowledgeable with safe safety and safe food processing in accordance with state and local health regulations.  The ideal candidate is organized and thorough, can prioritize kitchen tasks with attention to detail and quality standards, and enjoys collaborating with others.  1-2 years food service department and line cook experience, with the ability to cook from scratch recipes.  Flexible scheduling to include opportunities in all shifts.
 

Kitchen Production 1 - Full Time

Our Kitchen Production staff are skilled in food preparation and presentation methods, and knowledgeable with safety and safe food processing in accordance with state and local health regulations.  The ideal candidate is organized and thorough, can prioritize kitchen tasks with attention to detail and quality standards, and enjoys collaborating with others.  1-2 years food service department experience, with the ability to cook from scratch recipes is ideal, but qualified persons with the right skill set will be mentored and trained.

Kitchen Production 2 - Full Time

Dishwasher - All Shifts

Our dishwashing team members thoroughly clean and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, and equipment using dishwashers or by hand, maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment, and adhere to state and local health and safety regulations.  The ideal candidate is dependable, detail oriented, works effectively with others, and is flexible enough to assume additional responsibilities as assigned.  Prolonged standing and lifting to 50 lbs.

Deli Counter Clerk - Part Time

Provide prompt friendly courteous service to include offering samples, answering questions and making suggestions. Maintain knowledge of product, provides information to customers regarding use and preparation.  Ensure that the deli case is clean, stocked, rotated, garnished, proper signage is used and appealing to customers during entirety of shift.  Perform opening and closing duties to include required production work and cleaning/restocking requirements.  Must be organized, detail oriented and able to handle multiple demands.

Grocery Clerk – Part Time

The candidate will replenish and merchandise all grocery products, including knowledge of product selection and location. Will keep department clean. Assist with bagging groceries when necessary. Provide courteous, friendly and efficient service to customers and other team members. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Open availability for all shifts required.

Wellness Lead Clerk

Excellent and enhanced customer service will be the primary focus of the Wellness department’s Lead Clerk. The current open Lead Clerk position will be responsible for purchasing items in the nutritional supplement category.  They will achieve this through prioritizing tasks of product ordering, various production assignments, careful inventory control, and accurate record keeping. The ideal candidate is an excellent verbal communicator, can establish and foster strong relationships with both internal and external customers, and has some experience, knowledge and/or passion for the health and wellness industry. Candidates must be available to work night and weekend shifts.

Deli Counter Manager - Full Time

People’s Food Co-op, mission-driven to be the best fresh foods market in the country, is currently seeking a Deli Counter Manager.
The ideal candidate will lead a department providing customers with high quality, delicious, and nutritious food. They will establish pricing to achieve margin goals, evaluate food service suppliers, oversee the receipt of orders, and process invoices for the accounting department. The department and staff will maintain consistently high functionality through organized performance standards, safety and cleanliness standards, and compliance with all health code regulations. The Deli Counter Manager will also schedule, hire and develop qualified staff, and work with other business partners to implement departmental training materials and systems.
