Hackberry's Bistro Kitchen Manager / Executive Chef - Full Time

Hackberry’s Bistro, located above and part of the People’s Food Co-op, seeks a qualified and creative Bistro Manager/Executive Chef.

This individual will coordinate and lead all front and back of house operations to meet daily kitchen and special events production needs.

The ideal candidate has purpose that aligns with PFC’s mission and is passionate about people and community. Versed in seasonal, organic and local fare, this individual brings a minimum two years managerial and restaurant experience rooted deep within the local and farm-to-table tradition.

Social Media and Event Coordinator - Full Time

Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Social Media and Event Coordinator will oversee and direct all classes, events, and in-store demos for our Rochester location as well as manage and monitor the online PFC community through multiple social media platforms. Facilities Manager - Full Time

Reporting to the Store Manager, the Facilities Manager will oversee and direct the appearance, cleanliness, and efficiency of PFC’s building while managing the daily maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs to its equipment.  The ideal candidate is organized, observant, has strong follow through and is accustomed to prioritizing multiple demands in order to successfully and safely lead their team.

Kitchen Production Manager - Full Time

Reporting to the Food Services Director, the Kitchen Production Manager will ensure a safe, inclusive and efficiently run department while modeling professionalism in their handling of a variety of workplace situations. They will meet target goals for sales growth, margin and efficient labor, and provide the mentorship and empathetic leadership needed for their team to achieve the highest standards of quality food production and customer service.

Meat Clerk - Full Time 

Provide prompt, friendly and courteous service offering samples, answering questions and making suggestions in the areas of meat and seafood. Ensure the meat and seafood cases are clean, stocked, rotated, garnished, and properly labeled. Perform opening and closing duties as needed and including food production work. The ideal candidate is organized, detail oriented, and able to handle multiple demands in a fast-paced retail environment. Carnivorous enthusiasm and nimble knife skills a plus, but qualified individuals with the right skill set will be mentored and trained.

Wellness Clerk - Part Time

Our wellness clerks treat the excellency of customer service as their primary focus and will do this through various production assignments, careful inventory control, and accurate record keeping. Wellness clerks will need to communicate effectively, assist department managers in organizational duties, understand, adhere to, and demonstrate correct company policy and procedure, among the other duties required by a clerk. Minimum physical requirements include the ability to 50 lbs., standing during work hours, being able to use a knife or box cutter, and being able to operate a baler. 

Deli Counter - Full Time and Part Time

Provide prompt friendly courteous service to include offering samples, answering questions and making suggestions. Maintain knowledge of product, provide information to customers regarding use and preparation. Ensure that the deli case is clean, stocked, rotated, garnished, proper signage is used and appealing to customers during entirety of shift. Perform opening and closing duties to include required production work and cleaning / restocking requirements. Must be organized, detail oriented, and able to handle multiple demands.

Marketing Intern - Part Time

Reporting to the Social Media and Event Coordinator, the Marketing Intern will coordinate and staff all classes, events, and in-store demos for our Rochester location as well as assist the marketing team in the development and execution of marketing goals. The ideal candidate has an understanding of different marketing techniques and trends, is self-motivated and enthusiastic with the ability to absorb and retain information quickly.

Dishwasher Clerk - Part Time 

Our dishwashing team members thoroughly clean and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, and equipment using dishwashers or by hand, maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment, and adhere to state and local health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail oriented, works effectively with others, and is flexible enough to assume additional responsibilities as assigned. Prolonged standing and lifting to 50 lbs. Must be available for midday and evening shift. Weekend availability is required.

Kitchen Production 2 - Full Time

Our Kitchen Production staff are skilled in food preparation and presentation methods, and knowledgeable with safety and safe food processing in accordance with state and local health regulations. The ideal candidate is organized and thorough, can prioritize kitchen tasks with attention to detail and quality standards, and enjoys collaborating with others. 2 years professional cooking experience preferred, with first line supervisory experience a plus.
