The Big Deal over CBD Oil

CBD has shown promising results on many clinical trials. Research has proven Cannabidiol, or CBD, to help reduce nerve pain, inflammation and arthritic pain, and decrease anxiety and depression. It has been shown to improve sleep, treat seizures in epilepsy, reduce the risk of diabetes, regulate cholesterol levels, and ease nausea and vomiting. The studies are ongoing, and the list is increasing.

How does CBD do so much? CBD is one of many cannabinoids found in the hemp plant. Cannabinoids are plant compounds that communicate with cannabinoid receptors in our bodies. This system of receptors, called the Endocannabinoid System or ECS, regulates and maintains health within every organ system in the body. Our bodies were built for cannabinoids!

Along with cannabinoids, our supplemental extracts include multiple hemp plant compounds such as fatty acids, terpenes, plant sterols, chlorophyll, and vitamin E. These compounds provide broad-spectrum nutrition and work synergistically.

Some consumers are worried that CBD products will affect their judgement and cognition. Rest assured, CBD does not give feelings of euphoria, or being “high.” Our hemp-derived CBD does not contain the THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) amounts like its cousin, marijuana.

Here at People’s Food Co-op, we’ve had a very positive response to the CBD products we carry. Customers have reported a wide range of benefits from both the supplemental and topical CBD merchandise. Our CBD is third party tested for concentration, quality, and safety.

Our topical products state the amount of CBD they contain and include other medicinal herbs such as comfrey, lavender, nettle, frankincense, and arnica. They come in two sizes of salves and a new roll-on formula for easy application.

Many of our CBD products are currently on sale! Join us at the Wellness counter to check out our selection and great deals.
