La Crosse Remodel Update #11

It’s week four of construction – just four more to go!

Hello People's Food Co-op friends -

Freezers are full, beverage cooler is in place, and now we’re focusing on the deli area. New equipment is arriving daily; this week it’s the new walk-in freezer and cooler, and the blast chiller for the kitchen. Construction this week is focused on preparing the deli area for the plumbing and refrigeration lines required for new cases. When we reopen, we’ll have gorgeous new salad and pastry cases for you!

Thank you for shopping at the co-op while we move products around the store. We’re so excited to show you the changes ahead: we promise that it will be worth the extra efforts right now! If there is anything you can’t find, ask any team member – we’re here to help!

Even during construction, we’re cooking for you. The kitchen is open! Coffee, fresh-baked goodies and hot soup are being served at the 5th Avenue entrance. Sandwiches, entrees and salads are in the deli grab-n-go case. Other services and great foods available all day, every day:

• quiche & strata
• hot lunch special
• fresh ground beef
• Co-op's Own™ sausages and bratwurst
• refrigerated meats like bacon, fresh cuts, chicken, hams
• frozen meat and seafood
• cheese

The Community Room is open for seating. PFC staff will welcome you to this temporary dining area through the whole month of February, with hot coffee and comfortable seating.

We have deals EVERY SINGLE DAY to make your co-op trip valuable and delicious. Don’t miss Happy Hour Monday through Thursday, and the 3-day Flash Sales each weekend. Don’t feel like cooking? We get it! Bring in your family or buddies for Wednesday Community Meal, from 4 until 7 – just $5 per housemade meal.
