German Christmas stollen bread—La Crosse

Imagine serving your own loaf of beautiful, fruit-filled, delicious stollen to family and guests on Christmas morning! In this class, you will learn how to do just that. We will sample a pre-baked loaf, and bake a loaf in the classroom oven, and each participant will mix and shape a loaf to take home and bake. This will be a traditional German stollen with dark rum, candied fruit and zests, spices and nuts, milk and eggs. You will be given the recipe so that this wonderful bread can become part of your holiday traditions.
Cost: $20 members; $30 nonmembers.
